When it comes to Korean beauty and elegance, one could easily think of Song Hye Kyo. Song Hye Kyo was born in November 22, 1981 (although was registered in February 26, 1982) at Daegu, South Korea. After her parents divorced, her family moved to Seoul where she received training in figure skating. She is also talented in swimming and playing the piano. Song Hye Kyo is fond of embroidery, cross-stitching and collecting fragrances. She is sometimes referred to as “Woodpecker” because she talks very fast. Her English name is Lorraine Song.

She later worked with Worlds Within director and writer for the 2013 drama That Winter, The Wind Blows. Song Hye Kyo played a blind heiress named Oh Young who was conned by a man pretending to be her long-lost brother. The drama was a big success and Song Hye Kyo received many praise and recognition on her convincing and awe-inspiring performance.
Throughout the years, Song Hye Kyo has also appeared in various endorsements and publications. She has been the spokesperson for many famous brands such as Levi’s, Laneige, Etude House, and many more. In 2012, Song Hye Kyo released a published book called Hye-Kyo’s Time (Hye Kyo-ui Shigan) in which she reveals her everyday life through essays and photos. The book also includes the actress’ thoughts and experiences from her past.
Amidst professional work, Song Hye Kyo’s personal life did not completely escape the public’s eye. She made news when she began dating Lee Byung-hun while working together in All In. Three years later the subsequent break-up still generated media attention and gossip. Her relationship in 2009 with her Worlds Within co-star Hyun-bin was also made public.
